Product Product Description
This is a vintage food press of some sort. It may have been used as a Pasta Press, a Noodle Press, or even a Garlic Press. The top of the lower section unscrews so you could place the item to be pressed. Depending on what you were going to press, it has 6 different screens that determine the final size of the product being pressed. The "T" handle threads into the base and presses the product out the bottom. As shown in the photo to the left, it stands about 8 inches tall. This is the compressed position. With the "T" handle screws in the out position it measures more like 10 inches tall. The base is 3 1/2 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide. This is solid brass and weighs 3 1/2 pounds. Yes, I found this in the galley of a ship that was being cut up for scrap!

Here's a very nice mortar and pestle set.  Made completely of brass.  The mortar measures just 2 1/4" tall with a base diameter of 2 1/2".  The pestle measures 5" long.  This set may be small but weighs just under 2 1/2 pounds!!  The quarter gives you an idea of its size (not included with item).  Both pieces are unmarked.  This set has some minor surface wear.

This is a brass milk can.  In the days before refrigeration, cans such as this would be lowered into a hole in the ground to keep the contents cool.  This particular milk can measures 7 1/2" tall.  It has a partial mark on its bottom.  Has a hinged lid with a hasp.  Carrying handle on the side.  Very unique!!  Has some surface wear and could use another polishing.

This nifty item was known as a tobacco car.  It was used to hold various flavorings while making cigars - each pan would hold a different flavoring.  The car is made entirely of brass.  It measures 4 3/4" wide x about 10" long x 3 3/4" tall.  It is marked on the back "Betel Motor Car" and has a tiger on the top of the roof.  Inside are five flavoring pans.  Truly unique!!!  Has some light wear here and there.

I am not really sure as to what these are or what they might have been used for.  However, they are nice little displays of famous composers.  Each display measures about 4" wide x 5 3/8" tall.  Unmarked, other than the composer's name on the fronts.  I believe they are made of bronze and have been mounted on wood.  Nice set of four!!

This is a massive little food press, mostly likely for pasta.  It is made of wood with brass hardware.  Measures 10" wide (tip of handle to tip of opposite handle) and 5" tall.  It is marked on top "LSN" and the number "3", as well as some other numbers on the bottom.  The bottom unscrews for cleaning or to perhaps change the press to a different shape.  It's very cool!!  Has some surface wear.
