| If you are looking for a light to
hang or to mount from the ceiling, this is a great option. I have
sold many of these lights to clients who have suspended them from
the ceiling, and others who have mounted them direct to the ceiling.
This light weights 10 pounds. I think some parts of it are true
copper, but most of this one is copper coated iron. Not recommended
for salt water exposure. You can use this one inside or out, but
inside use is my recommendation. The globe cage and globe unscrew as
two different pieces so you can access the bulb and wiring. From the
ceiling to the bottom of the globe cage this one measures about 12
inches. The deflector pan is also about 12 inches wide. The globe is
undamaged.
This light has been moved to page 7 and reduced greatly in price. It will require a lot more clean up than most lights I sale, so if you are looking for a larger light for less money and have some time to work with this light, it may be the right one for you. The original electrical system needs replaced if you want to light it up, and you will have to soak the screw on cage with oil to free it up. We have a large pile of these lights in this design. As you can see from the photos, the bases and the cages are the same with some of the bases having the original conduit hole or holes in a little different place on the one side. The globes are glass and all the same size, but you may see some slight differences to the ribbing patterns. If you order more than one piece, we will do our best to pick you as many matched pieces as we can find in the pile.
Each light measures 7 3/4 inches tall and is constructed of all brass. The widest point of the light measures 4 1/4 inches. You can use the original mounting holes on the base of the light, or it is real easy to drill new mount holes to fit your needs. We have made brass screw in plugs to close in the original conduit holes where the original wires entered the light. Not sure of the history, but I would say this light came from a WWII Liberty Ship. This light measures 10 inches tall and weighs 10 pounds. Mostly constructed of cast iron, but the screw on cage is brass. The glass globe is undamaged. We have re-wired it with new UL-Listed Westinghouse parts rated for up to 250 volts, so normal house current is just fine. This light takes a normal screw in house bulb of 100 watts or less. The base has three mount holes that are located 2 1/2 inches off the center of the base.
